Saturday Night at the Races

Undecided voter? Didn’t get a chance to meet Alicia at a coffee or around Newton this Fall? This is the event for you! Ask Alicia and her opponents questions one-on-one, the weekend before the November 5th election.

New this year, Saturday Night at the Races is a venue where voters interact directly with the candidates for Newton City elections in small, moderated groups. Ward and At-Large Councilors for each ward will gather in eight separate areas of War Memorial Auditorium and engage with citizens in a direct discussion of issues. The questions will come directly from the voters, with the moderators working to give all candidates time to speak and to call on voters to ask their questions. After 15 minutes, voters will be asked to move to the next area and meet the candidates for the next ward.
